This past week I had the pleasure of working New York Fashion Week and let’s just say it was NUTS–in a good way of course. The high energy of stylish people, flashing cameras, beautiful clothing and hot models is what makes Fashion Week so intoxicating. Once it ends you feel like just finished watching the entire season of your favorite TV show and now you don’t know what to do. From attending Alexander Wang’s 10 year anniversary party, to being invited to Michael Costello’s show, this season was definitely one for the books. Here’s a recap of my NYFW.
Alexander Wang Wang10 Party
Alexander Wang’s anniversary party was the ultimate fashion party that you could imagine. I thought I hit the jackpot when I found out there was free booze and free food from hooters, but it was the surprise guests that really blew my mind. Wang’s event went from fashion show, to party, to concert real quick. It was everything.
Had a fan girl moment over Amandla Stenberg aka Rue from Hunger Games.
While dancing the night away at the Alexander Wang party a certain someone came my way and joined in on my dance party–Michael Costello! After much fun, his assistant invited me and my friend to his upcoming showcase. Michael is the God of flowy garments. His pieces were beautiful and elegant with so much movement it was like the models were just gliding down the runway.
And then of course, after the show it’s the after party!
I also had the chance to check out Mara Hoffman, Nicholas K, Skingraft, and TOME which were all so awesome but my pictures weren’t (sad face). You can check out the live stream of their show as well as other designers at newyorkfashionweeklive.com.
It was real Fashion Week, until next season.
