I had the pleasure of coming back to work a few shows for F/W 2015 New York Fashion Week, as well as attending Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief show to raise money for Ebola awareness. Unfortunately due to CFDA rules, volunteers are not allowed to take pictures during shows, and on top of that, my camera broke so I couldn’t even take pictures of dope NYC fashion, street art or food– double whammy! It’s all good though; I worked with what I got. Here’s a recap of F/W 2015 collections for Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief event.
The Lincoln Center Theater was an absolute extravaganza filled with fashion lovers, fly clothes and surprise guests. It was hard to contain the audience from excitement as Naomi Campbell blessed the runway with her signature walk. She was followed by an unexpected string of celebrity guest models such as Paris Hilton, Tyson Beckford, Cassie, Mary J Blige, Rosario Dawson, Michelle Rodriguez, Winnie Harlow and many more. It was too much to handle. The front row wasn’t too shabby either–Lupita Nyong’o, Russell Simmons and Justin Bieber were just a few of the many faces that came to show love. The show included donated pieces from Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and more.
Campbell’s Fashion for Relief Foundation has been going strong since 2005 and has raised money for causes like Hurricane Katrina and Haiti. There will be another showcase during London’s F/W 2015 fashion week. Peep the show below!
